Operations and Membership Manager

General Description:

Working closely with BCI Leadership, Members, Board Committees, government grantors, and grant partner organizations, the Operations & Membership Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of BCI’s association operations, membership engagement, and support.  The Operations & Membership Manager will manage the delivery of member committee and working sessions, facilitate committee work product, and support the association’s programs and advocacy on behalf of its members.

Operations/Member Services

  • Support the management of BCI’s operations activities
  • Support the execution of the overall member services/member experience
  • Coordinate new member processing, onboarding and communications
  • Send and track annual net sales certification forms from current members as part of membership renewals
  • Manage, process, and track membership dues invoicing and payments

Membership Engagement and Management

  • Manage the BCI member experience, committee engagement and membership, and delivery of member services
  • Engage with prospective members and communicate the value of BCI membership
  • Work with BCI Marketing and Communications staff to develop impactful membership recruitment and briefing materials
  • Work with the BCI Director of Events on strategies, goals, and program planning for BCI conferences and events
  • Manage membership recruitment and outreach
  • Serve as the main point of contact for member inquiries

Finance

  • Serve as BCI’s main point of contact with financial services vendor 
  • Work with BCI Senior Management Team and staff stakeholders, support the development of the BCI annual budget
  • Monitor monthly financial statements
  • Coordinate annual audit with financial services vendor
  • Conduct annual membership renewals in coordination with financial services vendor

Support for Board of Directors

  • Working with the BCI Senior Management Team, provide support to the BCI leadership and BCI Board of Directors
  • Coordinate preparations for the BCI board meetings with the President & Executive Director
  • Participate in the BCI strategic planning process
  • Coordinate and conduct board orientation sessions with the President & Executive Director

WGBI Support and Operations 

  • Oversee and coordinate staff support to the Women in the Global Battery Industry network
  • Facilitate strategic planning and oversee development of programming
  • Coordinate membership recruitment goals and activities
    • Write minutes, schedule calls, coordinate with volunteers to ensure action items are completed after each meeting
    • Develop membership materials
    • Onboard new members
    • Conduct annual membership renewals
  • Plan annual member events including agenda, speaker selection, educational content and awards
